Say hello to the talented and enthusiastic, Ashley Arnal, an Account Executive in our Las Vegas office! Read below to learn more about Ashley’s background and experience before and at CSI.

What attracted you to the event management world?

Looking back on my life I always was subconsciously planning events in some way or another. In high school, I was involved in Student Council as the Senior Class Historian and assisted in managing and coordinating pep rallies, assemblies, dances, etc. I was always the friend who stepped in to help plan my friends baby showers, engagement parties, and family holiday gatherings. It really is no surprise that in my professional life I found myself being attracted to the event management world. I think what most attracts me to this world, is the feeling I receive after a successful program. There is an exhilarating feeling knowing that in some small way, I was a part of making a difference in my client’s life. Even if that difference was providing an exceptional experience for them during a program or event. I like to imagine that when our clients seek guidance or support, as professional leaders in our industry we come in with our CSI green capes on to save the day.

How did you first become interested in this industry?

I first became interested in the industry 6 years ago, when I received the opportunity to work as a Catering & Sales Coordinator at the Stratosphere Hotel and Casino. It was my first taste of being in the professional events industry and I was immediately interested in pursuing that career path moving forward. There was just something magical about going through the entire planning and execution of an event that left me wanting more.

What is your favorite part about your job?

My favorite part of my job is being able to work for a company that is not only passionate about their clients but just as passionate about the well being of the people that work here. I can honestly say that I enjoy coming into work every day, knowing that my coworkers and I are a team and have each others support. Outside of my passion for a good sales goal, building genuine relationships, and having a creative outlet in my role – I absolutely love having the opportunity to make a difference in my client’s programs. Whether that is helping them find a solution to a problem or bringing their vision to life with a visually stimulating proposal, it makes me feel good to have that opportunity to serve.

What is the best part about the destination you work in?

Las Vegas, known for being the Entertainment Capital of the World is so much more than that. Las Vegas is within the top 3 destinations in the US for business conventions and is currently a global leader in the hospitality industry. Whether you are seeking a thrilling off-site activity, dining in the world’s best restaurants, or enjoying a AAA Five Diamond hotel experience, I believe that this city offers a competitive edge for meetings and events. The options truly are endless and we are constantly growing and expanding to meet and exceed our guest’s hunger for new and innovative options for their next program. We are the definition of “wow factor” and I couldn’t be more proud of this destination.

What is one of your most proud accomplishments at CSI (or other company) so far?

Being a part of a new office location for our company, looking back on the past year I hold a lot of pride in my team for how far we have come and how far we have grown together. However, I think personally for me the proudest accomplishment was being nominated for the 40 under 40 Awards with the Collaborate Meeting’s Connect publication. I have also just accomplished my first step toward being a Certified Meeting Professional and just received eligibility to sit for the CMP examination.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

In 10 years, I see myself being in a leadership role – not just within the company but an involved leader within our industry.

Where are you from?

I was born in Indianapolis, IN and moved to Las Vegas, NV when I was 5 years old. My father at the time had completed the Police Academy in Indiana but made a choice to move his family back to where he grew up to pursue a higher paying salary and lower cost of living. I have been here ever since!

How do you like to spend your weekends?

I love to spend time with my family. My favorite thing to do right now is to persuade my 6-year-old son to do a “Mommy & Son” date with me. We love to go to the movies together or curl up on the couch watching Netflix and ordering a large cheese pizza. If I am not spending time with my family, you can usually find me behind the lens of my camera doing professional family photography.

Are there any causes you are passionate about?

I love to give back to Ronald McDonald, spending a morning or afternoon helping pack lunches for those in need. It’s been great because we actually did this give back together in our local Vegas office and it was such a great experience!
