Give an energetic welcome to another new member of the CSI family, Aleic Grant, the General Manager of our Orlando and South Florida offices! We are thrilled to have such an incredible and talented member on our team.
What attracted you to the event management world?
I have always had a great interest in the event management world and am fascinated by all the intricate details it takes to make for a successful, memorable program. With that interest was also wanting to work with the best and of course, that’s with CSI DMC.
How did you first become interested in this industry?
I was previously in the travel industry and have attended many events over the years. That started my interest and it only grew from there seeing how impactful the presentation and event could influence business in such a positive way.
What is your favorite part about your job?
Without a doubt, the talented, incredibly passionate people who make CSI the amazing company it is.
What is the best part about the destination you work in?
Orlando, while known for its theme parks and more, the old Orlando and the unique history is what makes it such a great place to live, play and work.
What is one of your most proud accomplishments at CSI (or other company) so far?
Joining the company recently is certainly a great sense of pride that I only see expanding with time. Previously, I worked for a non-profit that saves lives with soap. In nine short years, we were able to help reduce the number one killer of children under the age of five through hygiene awareness.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Ten years into my career with CSI and having created, changed, improved, adapted and grown with the organization while at the leading edge of customer satisfaction. I look forward to the imprint we will make on our current and future clients.
Where are you from?
I am originally from Massachusetts and a proud native of the state that calls many of its sports teams champions!!!
How do you like to spend your weekends?
I have a wonderful young daughter who I spend a lot of time with and we enjoy many activities together such as volunteering and helping those in need while also raising awareness.
If you could bring any three people to dinner who would they be and why?
My mother, because she was such a great influence on who I am today. A Pearl Harbor WWII survivor to hear their stories and further appreciate the service they provided our country. President John F Kennedy because he was an inspirational leader in a time when our country was going through such dramatic change. Lastly, I would have to add a fourth which would be my daughter because she would certainly round out the group so very well.
Did anyone guess Emily’s favorite film from our last CSI Insider post? With a strong passion for theatre and the arts, it is no surprise that Emily’s top choice is Shakespeare in Love!
