The Dollar Loan Center, an $84 million dollar, 200,000-square-foot arena has opened in Henderson, NV. A short drive from the Vegas bustle, the venue is home to the Henderson Silver Knights, the AHL affiliate of the Vegas Golden Knights. The arena sports a modern medieval theme (so fun!) and offers versatile, indoor/outdoor space with some unique features.
Guests are immersed in Knights’ culture while enjoying state-of-the-art amenities from the moment they step through the doors, where the modern medieval theming becomes apparent.
Guests can be greeted by staff in medieval-themed uniforms, and high above one end of the ice rink is a castle, while the center-hung scoreboard features a war horse. The suites are known as Chambers, the elevators are Hoists, and the premium level is known as the Royal Landing.
Nate Ewell, VP of Communications and Content with The Dollar Loan Center shares, “We only opened in March, so we are still new! That said, we have continued to upgrade the facility ever since the doors first opened. The biggest addition is the John C. Kish Foundation Sensory Room – the first space of its kind in the state of Nevada. It was designed in conjunction with the non-profit organization, KultureCity, and will provide a welcoming area for arena guests with autism or other sensory needs. The room, which is located on the main concourse, features a bubble wall, light wall, games, and other elements designed to lessen sensory overload and engage both children and adults.
