CSI’s client was going through a rebranding strategy with a goal to showcase the same hospitality and service they had become known for, now with a contemporary look and updated menu selections for guests. This was all to be showcased to an attendee roster that included 900 leading franchisee guests. Thus, the client contacted CSI to aid them in their event designs for their Las Vegas program.

Originally, the client requested support from CSI to help with just the welcome reception, a function that was to take place at the Venetian. However, with the knowledge that their event would take place overlapping IMEX 2018, a yearly tradeshow showcasing top event and meeting suppliers, knowing the local connections and support the DMC could provide, the event grew in scope to include coverage of offsite activities for the group, as well as a tasting party at the Aria hotel.

With these items in mind, and with approximately one month to go until the event dates, CSI worked with the client to lay out the event designs. Basing the first drafts off of feedback from previous events, the initial event concept was very rustic in tone; however, after a few revisions, the client shared that they would like a more contemporary look to go with their new offerings. The DMC revised the scheme and detailed a contemporary storyboard for the Welcome Party that incorporated the company’s colors of orange and white; with pops of greenery for visual contrast.

Adding to the event’s scope, CSI additionally aided the client with the design, entertainment, branding, and installation of their Tasting Party hosted at the Aria hotel. A full buyout of the pool deck was requested, and as the client wished to showcase the new menu offerings, custom machinery rental load in was arranged with the hotel.

The event arrived, and with it, attendees joined forces with the masses of guests arriving at the same hotel for IMEX 2018. The main entry hallway for the IMEX events was near the client’s function, so CSI worked with the hotel’s convention services manager to ensure that our client signage for the event was featured at their ballrooms and was not overwhelmed by the auxiliary functions. In the end, the hallway ended up being a great marketing opportunity for our client with all the IMEX attendees walking by all the signage- an added bonus to the weekend!

After the success of the Welcome Party, guests were invited for an off-site recreational afternoon with a local golf club, with transportation and services provided by CSI, before returning to the city for the Tasting Party.

Designed to showcase the new menu items, the Tasting Party’s location required transportation for guests. CSI worked with the vehicle dispatchers to arrange for departures in times that would not be impacted by IMEX, and guests arrived at a pool deck featuring company-branded wall décor, an enormous floating logo in the pool of the Aria, and a branded pool deck that included all of the latest food offerings for the brand.

Load in at the ARIA pool had been very compressed, as standard Las Vegas policy allows the pool areas to remain open as late as possible, but due to the timing of the event, it was all hands on deck for CSI and hotel staff to ensure setup took place on-site for the Tasting Party, culminating in a successful menu showcase with a high-energy live band rounding out the energetic scene. It was the perfect closing for the franchisee’s time in Vegas!
