Elisa Smith, CMP, DES, has been appointed as the Associate Director of Event Management for the South Region, while Samantha Beck has taken on the role of Associate Director of Event Management for the North Region.
Elisa Smith’s journey with CSI DMC began in 2016 as a Senior Event Manager in the Washington, D.C. office, where her passion for Event Operations shone brightly. With over a decade of event management experience, Elisa’s remarkable journey led her to her promotion to Associate Director of Event Management in 2018. Elisa is not only a team player but also a natural leader, known for her unwavering composure in the face of managing multiple programs across different cities simultaneously. Her peers and colleagues are inspired by her supportive leadership style.
Elisa will continue to oversee programs in the South Region and for key accounts while providing valuable mentorship to CSI DMC Event Managers across the Southern Region. Additionally, she will manage the Event Management team in the thriving offices in Texas. Ainsley Onstott, CMP, DMCP, DES, Senior Vice President, Global Operations for CSI DMC, shares ‘Elisa is a perfect match for this role. A team player and natural leader, Elisa has an innate ability to juggle multiple programs and priorities with an enthusiastic yet calm demeanor, all while providing ongoing training and mentorship. She exudes radiant positivity into every day, and her versatile experience from special events to conventions and meeting management, adds to why she is such a respected leader amongst her peers. Elisa also provides immense value to clients, with whom she continues to build lasting relationships. Samantha Beck, affectionately known as Sam, joined CSI DMC as an Event Manager in the Washington, D.C. office in 2019. Sam quickly stood out as a skillful manager of both domestic and international programs. During the height of the COVID pandemic, she tackled virtual programs with grace and expertise, overseeing complex needs and large virtual conferences with a positive attitude and readiness for any challenge. With over a decade of experience in catering and event management, Sam has consistently supported and nurtured the CSI DMC Event Management travel team. She has been instrumental in training and coaching Event Managers across multiple destinations in the USA.
Sam, based in Pennsylvania when not traveling for programs, is dedicated to managing key client accounts in the Northern region of the USA. Her leadership, mentorship, and support extend to Event Managers across the Northern region and through to the Midwest. Ainsley adds, ‘Sam excels at managing complex programs with a can-do attitude and unwavering composure in every client interaction. Her wealth of operational skills, honed through years of experience in handling events of all types across the country, speaks volumes. She has consistently shown tremendous support and guidance to the continually growing DMC travel team while being instrumental in training new event managers in multiple destinations. I have no doubt Sam will continue to nurture and inspire our teams across the North and into the Midwest.
