Words of Wellness
David T. Stevens®, PMED, the event’s emcee, shared powerful insights on the link between employee wellbeing and company performance. He emphasized that wellness is about inclusion, encouraging event planners to honor attendees' personal preferences. By creating supportive, engaging environments, organizers can boost satisfaction, learning, and overall impact. “We have a massive opportunity to make the world a better place through wellness,” he noted.
Keynote speaker Nolan Nichols, founder of A Million Dreams, emphasized that small, consistent actions are key to lasting wellness, noting that “consistency beats intensity—one moment at a time.” He encouraged attendees to view wellness as a personal, ongoing journey, where daily practices like journaling, walking, or simply noticing can shift us from surviving to thriving and help make real-time course corrections. “When wellness is built into events, participants feel energized—which leads to stronger retention and higher satisfaction,” Nolan shared.
The feedback was resounding attendees left not just refreshed, but ready to bring wellness into their own events. “Several of our clients are already weaving wellness into their upcoming conferences,” said Reina H. of Caesars Entertainment. “It’s proof that this isn’t just a feel-good extra—it’s a smart, strategic shift.”
